Union Comm Appointed to B20 Digital Transformation Task Force

Union Communications Hong Kong Limited (“Union Comm”), a leading policy advocacy and communications agency, proudly announced that its partner, Sam Han, has been appointed as a Member of the B20 Digital Transformation Task Force for B20 South Africa 2025 (Link). This marked another milestone in his ongoing contributions to global business policy discussions, as Sam has been an active member of the B20 (Business 20) since 2021.

The B20 is the official business engagement group of the G20 (Link), providing policy recommendations to G20 leaders on behalf of the international business community. Since its inception in 2010, the B20 has played a pivotal role in shaping economic policies that promote trade, investment, digital transformation, and sustainable growth. Each year, the B20 is hosted by the G20 presidency, and in 2025, South Africa is leading B20 South Africa, with a strong focus on digital transformation, financial inclusion, and technology-driven economic growth.

The B20 Digital Transformation Task Force is chaired by Ms. Phuthi Mahanyele-Dabengwa, CEO of Naspers South Africa, and co-chaired by senior executives from leading global organizations including Google, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Microsoft, Starlink, Mastercard, and Vodacom. This task force brings together global industry leaders, policymakers, and technology experts to develop strategies that enhance digital infrastructure, address regulatory challenges, promote cybersecurity, and drive inclusive digital economies across G20 nations.

Sam Han, a veteran in policy advocacy, digital inclusion, and corporate communications, has been deeply involved in the B20 process since 2021. With rich experience in new economy, such as AI and big data, and digital empowerment for vulnerable groups, Sam has actively contributed to international policy dialogues through UN Global Compact (UNGC), APEC (Link), B20, and other global forums.

“I am honored to continue my engagement with the B20 and contribute to the Digital Transformation Task Force,” said Sam Han. “As digitalization reshapes industries and societies, it is essential that we develop inclusive and sustainable policies to maximize the benefits of technological innovation for businesses and communities worldwide.”
