Union Communications Hong Kong Limited (“Union Comm”), a leading policy advocacy and communications agency, proudly participated in the UN Global Compact’s Countdown to International Women’s Day event (Link) today, where Sam Han, partner at Union Comm, delivered an impactful presentation on “Business Strategies to Drive Allyship: The Role of Male Allies.”

During the session, Sam Han challenged the misconception that gender equality is an extra burden on businesses, instead emphasizing that it is a strategic driver for sustainable business growth. Han presented real-world case studies, including a US$40 million business success story, demonstrating how embedding gender-inclusive strategies and fostering male allyship can lead to stronger business performance, brand credibility, and global recognition.
“I’m particularly encouraged by the positive feedback from the audience, many of whom expressed their commitment to taking small but meaningful actions in their own workplaces,” said Sam Han. “These small steps — whether it’s adopting inclusive language, amplifying women’s voices in male-dominated industries, or ensuring gender balance in corporate events — can drive long-term change and create a more equitable and high-performing business environment.”
Union Comm remains committed to advocating for gender-inclusive policies and helping businesses embed gender equality as a core strategy for growth, innovation, and long-term success.
