Union Comm Awarded UNGC Climate Certificate

Union Communications Hong Kong Limited (“Union Comm”), a leading policy advocacy and communications agency, proudly announced its successful completion of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) Climate Ambition Accelerator program (Link), receiving the official certificate during the UNGC 2024 Program Annual Meeting held today in Beijing.

The certification, awarded by UNGC, recognized Union Comm’s commitment to integrating sustainability and climate action into its core business practices. The Climate Ambition Accelerator is a specialized learning program aimed at equipping companies with the knowledge and skills necessary to set and achieve ambitious climate targets aligned with science-based goals and net-zero pathways.

Through participating in this program, Union Comm not only enhanced its sustainability capabilities but also contributed valuable knowledge to the APEC Technology Empowers Low Carbon Action (TELCA) project (Link), further advancing regional and global cooperation on low-carbon initiatives.

"We are honored to receive this certification at such a prestigious event," said Sam Han, partner at Union Comm. "We will keep our commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in promoting digital inclusion and gender equality while taking meaningful action toward climate sustainability."

Han also extended his gratitude to the UNGC for organizing the program, with special thanks to Kaixin Lin and other dedicated tutors for their invaluable guidance and support throughout the process.

Union Comm has a long-standing commitment to promoting sustainability in its operations and across its client services. By achieving this milestone, the company aims to inspire its partners and stakeholders to join the collective effort to combat climate change and support the global climate agenda, while continuing to promote digital inclusion and gender equality.
